## Description

Lógasavn is the Faroe Islands’ official collection and searchable database of legislation, administered by the Legal Service at the Prime Minister’s Office. It provides public access to Faroese and Danish legal documents, with search and filtering tools for full text, title, year, issuing authority, legal status, document type, subject area, language and publication status. Users can explore legislation across a broad range of topics, including government and administration, education, culture, social affairs, taxation, fisheries, transport, health, business, personal data and family law. The site lists newly issued laws, regulations, notices and guidance, and allows visitors to distinguish current rules from historical, superseded or forthcoming material. It also links to related public resources, including the Legal Service, the consultation portal for proposed legislation, information on the legislative process, and notices assigning government responsibilities among ministers. Lógasavn supports legal research and public understanding of the rules applicable in the Faroe Islands; its database is updated as the official Gazette is published or shortly thereafter.
