## Description

Freunde des historischen Lokschuppens 1905 Freilassing e.V. is a railway heritage association dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the former railway depot in Freilassing, Germany, and supporting activities at Lokwelt Freilassing. The volunteer-led organisation provides information about the historic locomotive shed, its buildings, tracks and railway past through articles, photographs and detailed documentation. Its work also includes a Vereinswerkstatt, where members undertake practical projects and meet as the “Montagsmechaniker.” Railway modelling is another focus, with H0-scale layouts and models, LGB railway activities, and projects involving the park railway at Lokwelt. The association shares news through its website and newsletter, promotes membership, and helps organise events at the museum, including railway-themed gatherings, model railway markets, lectures, anniversary celebrations and seasonal activities. Recent topics range from historic locomotives and railway technology to local lines and transport history. By combining hands-on workshop work, model railways, research, public events and visual archives, the association helps keep Freilassing’s railway heritage accessible to members, visitors and enthusiasts.
