## Description

The London Defence Conference (LDC) is an annual geopolitical gathering in central London that brings together leaders and experts from friendly and allied nations to discuss global security. Founded in 2022 after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, it aims to raise the profile of defence and security amid evolving threats. Its invitation-only conference convenes policymakers, military leaders, academics, industry representatives and selected media, with past participants including heads of state and senior government and defence officials. The LDC works with think tanks and media organisations, including Sky News, and is supported by sponsors and a network of research institutions and international think tanks.

Alongside its main spring conference, the organisation hosts the LDC Washington Forum each autumn in partnership with the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress. It also runs an annual Investment Forum in the City of London, bringing together policymakers, military, investors and industry to explore defence spending, investment, innovation and preparedness.
