## Description

London Women Chess Club is an award-winning, non-profit Community Interest Company dedicated to making chess welcoming and accessible for women and girls. Recognised by the English Chess Federation, the club brings together members of all ages and abilities, from beginners learning how the pieces move to experienced players developing their ratings. Its community-centred approach encourages socialising, positive interaction, skill-building and friendship, with a safe space where everyone can feel they belong.

The club offers chess events, courses, tournaments and social gatherings, creating opportunities to learn and play in a supportive environment. Members can also connect through the club’s WhatsApp community and keep up with activities and chess news through its newsletter and blog. The club meets at Pancras Square Library in London, in the children’s section by the windows on the middle floor. London Women Chess Club describes itself as England’s first women’s chess club and invites women and girls to join its inclusive community, whether they are discovering chess for the first time or looking to progress their game.
