## Description

Long Beach Casting Club is a fly-fishing education and community organization in Long Beach, California, dedicated to helping people learn and improve their angling skills. With a history spanning more than 100 years, the club offers instruction in fly casting, fly tying, rod building, knot tying, Spey casting, Tenkara and other techniques. Its learning programs include beginner classes, instructor training and on-the-river clinics, supported by experienced and certified instructors.

The club’s campus features a lighted casting pond for lessons and practice, along with a clubhouse containing a classroom, library and facilities for meetings and social events. The pond also provides a venue for casting tournaments and is available to view through a live webcam. Members can take part in organized fishing trips and outings, community outreach, social gatherings and club tournaments. The club also recognizes members’ notable catches through annual fishing awards. Most activities are open to non-members, making the organization accessible to people interested in discovering fly fishing as well as experienced anglers seeking to refine their skills.
