Our mission is to provide support, raise awareness, and improve understanding of Long Covid through various initiatives. In terms of support, we offer a tightly moderated, international Long Covid Support Group, which serves as a friendly and inclusive space for individuals experiencing the diverse and debilitating symptoms of Long Covid. This online group is one of the largest of its kind in the world, with members in 100 countries. In addition to the support group, we also organize social and wellbeing activities such as Zoom chats, the Long Covid Choir, chair yoga, and opera breathing. As advocates, we have played an instrumental role in establishing the term Long Covid globally. We contribute to conferences and media pieces, providing patient and public voices to various UK bodies and international organizations involved with Long Covid. Our focus includes collaborating with the NHS England Taskforce on Long Covid, the National Institute of Care Excellence, and the World Health Organisation. We also advise on employment and benefits, assisting workers and employers with return-to-work plans. We strongly believe in the importance of patients being actively involved in research, and we work closely with researchers as co-investigators and members of advisory groups. We have co-authored numerous papers published in scientific journals and actively engage with researchers through our Covid-19 Research Involvement Group. Additionally, we have partnered with organizations such as ISARIC and GLOPID-R to organize the Long Covid Forum, the first international research conference on the condition. At Long Covid Support, our vision is to ensure that everyone affected by Long Covid has access to appropriate treatment and support. Through our work in support, advocacy, and research, we aim to connect individuals globally, engage with policy makers and service providers, support research into effective treatments, and raise awareness to define Long Covid with quality information and support throughout the UK.
