## Description

Longitude is a maritime tourism and recreational boating education company based in Setúbal, Portugal. Founded in 2008, it operates near the Sado River and offers experiences exploring the region’s coastline, beaches and marine wildlife. Its nautical tourism services include water-taxi transport, dolphin-watching trips, visits to Arrábida’s beaches, exclusive sailing excursions and sunset cruises. Tours are available aboard a sailing boat and motorboats, with options for different group sizes and activities.

Longitude also provides training for recreational boating licences, including courses for Marinheiro, Patrão Local, Patrão de Costa and Patrão de Alto Mar, as well as sailing courses. In addition to classroom instruction, students can use an e-learning platform featuring videos, practice tests and other learning activities to support their preparation for final exams. The company states that it is certified by the Portuguese government for nautical training, maritime tourism and cetacean observation. Its work is guided by principles of honesty, integrity and respect for the environment, bringing together practical boating education and nature-based experiences in the Setúbal area.
