Looking Upwards is a Middletown-based nonprofit agency that has been helping individuals for 45 years. We serve over 1,200 children and adults throughout Rhode Island. Our mission is to promote the growth and independence of children and adults of all abilities so they may realize their potential and live fulfilling lives.

At Looking Upwards, we offer a range of services for adults with developmental disabilities. Our team of professionals provides vocational training, day enrichment programs, and various residential options. We believe in helping each person achieve their dreams, whether it's finding a satisfying home life, meaningful work, building relationships, or participating in the wider community.

For families facing diverse challenges, we offer support and services for children from birth through twenty-one years. Our specialists bring expertise in behavior management, child development, behavioral health, and autism and other developmental disabilities. We provide creative approaches to early childhood development and support success at home and in the community.

Looking Upwards also works with schools by offering behavioral consulting, support with school-to-career transition, and highly-trained paraprofessional staff. We help school departments stretch their resources to create student success.
