## Description

The Centre for the Documentation of Property Transfers of the Cultural Assets of Victims of the Second World War is a Czech public-benefit organisation dedicated to uncovering, documenting and researching historical injustices involving cultural property. Its work focuses on assets seized during the Nazi era and the histories of their original owners. Through research into provenance and ownership, the Centre helps identify cultural objects and shed light on the people and communities from whom they were taken.

The organisation shares its findings through exhibitions, conferences, public events and publications, including studies and conference proceedings. Its exhibitions explore the histories of looted artworks and books, such as Hebrew publications taken from European Jewish communities and works from the collection of Moravian entrepreneur Stefan Heller. The Centre also presents identified cultural objects, original owners and related historical materials online, and offers guided exhibition tours. Its publications document confiscations in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia and trace the provenance of works held in Czech institutions.
