## Description

Lord of the Steps is a free fantasy-themed pedometer for iPhone and Android that turns everyday walking into a journey through Middle-earth. Users follow a 2,865-kilometre route from the Shire to Mount Doom, progressing through 18 stages and 50 themed zones inspired by The Lord of the Rings. The app automatically tracks steps through Apple HealthKit or Android Health Connect and works offline, with daily and weekly statistics, distance tracking, personal step goals, and home-screen widgets showing route progress.

Walkers can invite friends or colleagues to groups, set challenges, and compare progress on participant leaderboards. For businesses and teams, Lord of the Steps offers group walking challenges, team statistics, and Excel exports. The basic app is free and includes the full route, tracking tools, widgets, personal goals, and group features without advertising. A Premium subscription adds features such as adaptive daily goals, expanded group progress access, step exports, challenge limits, and AI-based analysis of step data.
