## Description

Lahden Opiskelevat Reserviläiset LORes ry is an association for higher education students living in the Lahti region who are interested in national defence and reservist activities. Founded in spring 2025, it aims to build a community among students with shared interests and to connect its members through ideas and practical activities that support the security of Finnish society.

LORes organises, guides and supports members’ defence-minded and security-policy activities. Its programme focuses on physical and mental wellbeing, while also helping members maintain and develop military skills. Activities include shooting events, hikes and adapted exercise, alongside other social and recreational events. The association welcomes students regardless of their military service background, including those who have not completed military service. Its approach combines a relaxed atmosphere with responsible participation, and its activities are intended to maintain capability and strengthen the will to defend the country. Students interested in joining can find membership information and updates through the association’s website and Instagram.
