## Description

Lost Art Press is an independent publisher and retailer devoted to hand-tool woodworking, furniture making and the history of craft. Founded in 2007 by woodworkers John Hoffman and Christopher Schwarz, the company set out to bring enduring woodworking books back to readers and to explore the traditions and knowledge behind hands-on work. Its books are made in the USA and span subjects such as joinery, workbenches, chairmaking, design, finishing, carving and historical texts. The catalog includes new instructional titles, project guides, reprints and revised editions, with companion patterns and digital book options available for some publications. Lost Art Press also produces woodworking videos covering projects and techniques, from building chairs to making tool chests. Through Crucible Tools, it offers hand tools and workshop accessories, including hammers, protractors, pinch rods and glue. Its wider range includes apparel, mugs, gift cards and workshop goods. Customers can shop online or visit the Covington storefront, and the company also shares articles, woodworking guidance and updates through its blog and newsletter.
