It all started in 2015 when Jean left for MIT in Boston to research robotics, while his fiancee Melodie stayed in France.

They wanted to find a way to send not only messages but also their love to each other. This inspired the creation of Lovebox, which was built in a makerspace in France. The initial users of Lovebox had to apply by sending a letter describing their love story and how Lovebox could change their lives.

Based on their feedback, the product was redesigned and the first 500 Loveboxes were produced in 2016. Since then, over 200,000 Loveboxes have been delivered worldwide, with more than 400,000 love notes being exchanged every month on the Lovebox network. Lovebox is dedicated to leveraging technology to help people feel and express love, and their team of 15 is committed to spreading love and brightening your days.
