## Description

The Love for Lewiston Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting families affected by spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), advancing systemic change, and pursuing a cure. Founded in memory of Lewiston Olstad, the organization carries forward his message to love more deeply and celebrate life. It believes physical agency should be a right, not a privilege, and works to help children and families thrive.

The foundation directs its efforts to the SMA community and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. Its support includes funding resources and a peer-to-peer program for people seeking help and connection. Community members can also take part through initiatives such as Lew’s B-day Club, 2.2 for Lew, and Lew’s Love Gram, as well as by attending or hosting events, volunteering, donating, and contributing bottles through Skip The Depot.

Love for Lewiston has raised more than $4 million to date and is working toward a $755,000 fundraising goal for 2026.
