Welcome to the Low Dimension Materials Research Group (LDMR), based at the European Institute of Membranes at the University of Montpellier, France. Our research group is committed to pioneering innovative solutions in CO2 valorization, the electrification of the chemical industry, and the advancement of novel membrane technologies. 

We are focused on synthesizing and engineering low-dimensional materials, which are essential for applications in energy conversion, storage, and nanofluidics. Our key areas of research include the electrochemical reduction of CO2 into valuable hydrocarbons, the development of advanced 2D membranes characterized by high flux and selective sieving properties, and exploring the impacts of phase-engineering and functionalization on the characteristics of 2D materials.
