## Description

Little People of America, Inc. (LPA) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals of short stature and their families. Founded in 1957 by the actor Billy Barty, LPA has grown to over 7,500 members across the United States and internationally, united in their diverse experiences with dwarfism, which encompasses more than 300 medical conditions. The organization promotes social interaction and peer support through various programs including scholarships, medical resources, and educational initiatives.

LPA offers vital resources on employment, education, disability rights, and adaptive products for all ages, from newborns to seniors. Members benefit from a robust calendar of events, including national conferences and workshops that foster community and personal growth. In addition, LPA collaborates with the Dwarf Athletic Association of America to provide athletic opportunities. The organization's core values of inclusion, resilience, and mutual support guide its commitment to empowering the dwarfism community, ensuring every individual feels valued and embraced.
