## Description

The Law and Political Economy (LPE) Project is a network of scholars, practitioners, and students working to advance the study of law and political economy. Its approach starts from the view that politics and the economy are inseparable and that law helps shape both. The Project supports intellectual, educational, and political work aimed at understanding how legal scholarship and policy have contributed to inequality, insecurity, racial hierarchy, political alienation, and social and ecological harm. It also promotes ideas and proposals for a more democratic, just, equal, and sustainable future.

The LPE Project offers resources for faculty and students, including course syllabi, introductory primers on topics such as neoliberalism and legal realism, and videos from its events. It shares analysis and commentary through its blog and convenes upcoming and past events across the broader LPE community. The Project also supports student groups, provides guidance for starting groups on campus, and connects campuses with affiliated professors and practitioners through a speakers bureau.
