## Description

Lahden Seudun Kehitysvammaisten Tuki ry is an association working to promote equality and social inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities. Its focus is on supporting participation in society and creating opportunities for people to connect, take part in activities and spend time together. The association offers hobby groups and peer support, and welcomes members, volunteers and people interested in its work. Its website also highlights the Elämä Omaksi Päijät-Hämeessä project and provides information for the Lahden Seudun Me Itse group.

Community events are an important part of the association’s activities. These include Valojahti, a playful outdoor treasure-finding event, and Kohtaa mut cafés, open gatherings where visitors can meet new people and enjoy company. Participants who need support are welcome to bring an assistant. The association also shares news and event information through its website and email newsletter, which is sent up to six times a year. Through activities, peer connections and welcoming meeting places, the association supports a more inclusive everyday life in the Lahti region.
