# LSV Albatros - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `lsv-albatros.de` ## Description LSV Albatros e.V. is a gliding club based at the Gammelsdorf airfield, about 1.5 kilometres north of Gammelsdorf. With more than 40 active members and over 30 years of club history, it welcomes newcomers, licensed pilots and visitors into a shared flying community. The club operates a fleet of six gliders and one touring motor glider, supporting both beginners and experienced pilots. Members may also station and use their own aircraft at the airfield. Those interested in trying flight can join a local pilot for an introductory flight. For those who want to pursue the sport, the club’s experienced volunteer instructors provide training toward glider or touring motor glider licences. A four-week trial membership offers a way to explore the club and its flying activities, while second memberships help visiting pilots stay active when work, study or training brings them to the area.
