The Lesbian and Gay Federation in Germany (LSVD) is a civil rights organization that advocates for the interests and rights of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender, and intersex individuals (LSBTIQ*). Our mission is to ensure that LSBTIQ* individuals are accepted and recognized as an integral part of societal normality. We actively engage with the public, the media, and political bodies to address issues and provide input on matters concerning the LGBTQ+ community, including the German government, the Bundestag, and the Federal Constitutional Court.

The LSVD offers a range of services, such as consultations, guides, and legal advice on various topics, including asylum rights for persecuted LGBTQ+ refugees, discrimination, marriage equality, adoption rights, and HIV/AIDS. Additionally, we promote awareness and education through initiatives focused on media sensitization, LGBTQ+ health, and combating hate crimes.
