## Description

The Lake Thunderbird Watershed Alliance (LTWA) is a collaborative organization formed in 2020 to help protect the water quality and quantity of Lake Thunderbird in Oklahoma. It works with residents, communities, partner organizations, and other stakeholders, recognizing the lake’s importance as a source of treated drinking water, a place for recreation, and a natural resource for watershed residents and the wider public. The Alliance also serves as a central source of information about Lake Thunderbird, including implementation projects, research, and educational and outreach materials.

LTWA supports development of an integrated watershed management plan and invites public input to inform decisions. Its website offers resources on watershed processes, stormwater runoff, land use, residential and agricultural areas, and ways people can reduce their impacts. The organization provides educational presentations for classes and community groups on watershed basics and best management practices for yards, farms, and businesses. It also shares information about conservation programs, partner resources, monitoring, research studies, and events.
