## Description

Luc Academy is an early childhood development centre in Roodekrans, Roodepoort, focused on supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The academy was established by parents whose son was diagnosed with autism in 2008. Their experience prompted them to research the condition and create a centre intended to provide a supportive environment for children and families. Luc Academy describes its ethos as collaborative, respectful, nurturing and transparent, and aims to be a centre of excellence where children can grow in a joyful setting.

The centre offers programmes for children and provides information for families seeking to understand autism, including topics such as understanding and diagnosing the condition. Parents can contact the academy to arrange a weekday visit, meet staff and view the facilities. If the centre’s offering appears suitable, a free three-to-five-day trial is available to help confirm whether placement is appropriate. Children may be enrolled throughout the year. Luc Academy encourages families to get in touch to discuss admission and learn more about its approach and services.
