## Description

Lucca Comics & Games is a cultural platform dedicated to comics, games, illustration, storytelling and related creative industries. Its activities extend throughout the year, bringing together festivals, exhibitions, educational initiatives, awards and projects for audiences, creators and industry professionals. The flagship Lucca Comics & Games festival is scheduled for 28 October to 1 November 2026, while Lucca Collezionando offers a separate annual event focused on collecting.

Beyond its festivals, the organization presents major exhibitions, guest appearances, documentaries, recorded talks and projects that explore the history and influence of comics and games. Its educational work includes resources and teacher training to support comics and manga in schools, as well as initiatives for adult learning and social communication. Lucca Comics & Games also recognizes creative achievement through awards and competitions spanning comics, role-playing and board games, illustration, game design and children’s writing. Talent-development opportunities include contests, publishing pathways and artistic residencies. Together, these activities connect entertainment with education, cultural recognition and the development of new creative work.
