## Description

Associação Ludus is a Portugal-based association dedicated to recreational mathematics and sharing the enjoyment of mathematics with broad audiences. Its activities bring together publications, games, events and projects for people interested in mathematical ideas, education and play. Ludus publishes books, e-books and journals, including the biannual Jornal das Primeiras Matemáticas, covering mathematics for preschool and the first two cycles of basic education, and the Recreational Mathematics Magazine. Its website also features other periodicals, free publications, academic theses and materials available for purchase.

The association promotes and supports events such as colloquia, conferences, masterclasses and mathematics gatherings, including the Recreational Mathematics Colloquium and Gathering 4 Gardner Europe. Through its mathematics outreach activities, Ludus highlights mathematical games, explains their origins and rules, and provides resources to help people play them. Its projects include national and international initiatives such as 8×8, CHAMPS, Numericall and GameTable. Ludus also shares news about its members and related developments, and collaborates with partners on events and publications.
