## Description

Lunaticoastro is an astronomy-focused company founded in 2006 to make observing safer and easier through reliable remote observatory automation. Operating from Spain and New Zealand, it serves amateur astronomers, remote observatories and professional installations worldwide. The company designs and builds instruments for monitoring weather and sky conditions, controlling observatory roofs and domes, and protecting equipment when conditions change.

Its products include CloudWatcher and PocketCW2 cloud detectors, which monitor conditions such as cloudiness, rain, temperature and sky quality, with additional sensors available on some models. Lanternfish is a configurable portable Wi-Fi sky quality monitor. For observatory control, Dragonfly operates roll-off roofs and equipment power, while Caterpillar manages dome rotation and shutters. Starling supports coordinated access to shared observatory roofs. Other offerings include the GNS alert system, LLLOD autonomous failsafe, ZeroDew dew heaters and DuoScope dual telescope mount.

Lunaticoastro also provides product documentation, videos, software and firmware updates, and customer support. The company emphasizes durable, repairable products, clear communication about capabilities, and knowledgeable assistance.
