## Description

Lunchbox Theatre is a South African registered nonprofit organisation that uses performance to raise awareness and build knowledge and interest in environmental and social issues. Its interactive theatrical experiences are designed for children and young people, bringing important topics to life and encouraging learning, discussion and participation. The organisation’s productions address themes including HIV, waste, water, nature and environmental conservation, with titles such as Thand’ Impilo, What a Waste, The Whale Show and The Tree Show. Lunchbox Theatre also offers audio theatre plays and resources through its “Teacher Says” content, extending its educational work beyond live performances. Schools and other audiences can book shows, while testimonials describe benefits such as opening conversations about health issues and supporting learners’ oral communication and public-speaking skills. The organisation reports having reached more than 200,000 children. Supporters can contribute through donations, purchases and Lunchbox Legends fundraising challenges, including an annual tour. These efforts help Lunchbox Theatre continue changing lives through the enjoyment and educational impact of theatre.
