LunGuard Ltd. Established in January 2009 with initial investments from Maayan Ventures and the Office of the Chief Scientist in Israel, LunGuard has successfully created a unique and proprietary physiological integrated patient interface system. At the core of their technology pipeline is the Reflux Prevention System (RPS), which incorporates six active safety and efficient features.

These features include an intelligent reflux prevention system to reduce the occurrence of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP), a smart system for monitoring and controlling the sealing of the endotracheal tube cuff, and a pulmonary pressure detector for enhanced patient safety. One of LunGuard's standout features is its Smart Tube, equipped with pH sensors to indicate reflux episodes, as well as a vomiting indicator based on pressure technique. This system can be used alongside any ventilator or feeding system, replacing the need for a traditional NG tube.

With a commitment to clinical and economic utility, LunGuard aims to accelerate the process toward FDA approval and establish production lines for a limited market release in Europe.
