# LUPUS Institut - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `lupus-institut.de` ## Description The LUPUS Institute for Wolf Monitoring and Research in Germany is dedicated to studying and monitoring the natural recolonization of wolves in the country. It conducts wolf monitoring in Saxony and Southeast Brandenburg on behalf of the State Office for Environment, Agriculture, and Geology (LfULG) and the State Office for Environment, Brandenburg. Additionally, as part of the Federal Information and Advisory Center on Wolves (DBBW), it provides professional guidance on wolf monitoring and behavior to other German states. Founded in 2002 as the "Wildbiologisches Büro LUPUS" by biologists Gesa Kluth and Ilka Reinhardt, the institute continues to be led by them. Located in Spreewitz, in the heart of the Oberlausitz region, where wolves first gave birth to pups in 2000, it is an expert resource on wolf-related inquiries and herd protection in Saxony. For information about wolves in other German states, please contact the respective authorities. The institute's main focus is on scientifically supporting and researching the natural recolonization process. Visitors can also find information on internships, reporting wolf sightings and livestock losses, and the current wolf situation in Saxony, as well as contact details for press inquiries. © 2023 LUPUS Institute for Wolf Monitoring and Research in Germany, Dorfaue 9, 02979 Spreetal/OT Spreewitz, Phone: 035727 57762 | Email to top. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Biology _(under Science and Education)_ - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — SVG, PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idjv8NQync/theme/dark/logo.svg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1789603168628) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Hillary | #a89b88 | accent | | Cola | #3d1f00 | dark | | Raw Sienna | #cd894c | light | ## Fonts - -apple-system — asset _(system)_ - var(--bs-font-sans-serif) — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
