## Description

LUSITO is the registered brand of Sociedade Ciclista Lusitana, Lda., a manufacturer and supplier of components and accessories for bicycles, motorized two-wheelers, and selected applications in other commercial and industrial sectors. Based in Águeda, Portugal, the company has operated continuously since its founding in 1951 and has more than 70 years of experience serving the two-wheel market. It began by producing bicycle saddles and later expanded into products for mopeds and other motorized vehicles. Its range includes bicycle and motorcycle accessories such as accelerator grips, levers, and bicycle brakes. In earlier decades, the company supplied Portugal’s domestic market and collaborated with manufacturers including Famel, Macal, Sachs, EFS, and Casal. LUSITO also participated in and sponsored cycling, enduro, and motocross events, earning trophies under its brand name. Today, more than half of the company’s production is exported, with North African countries among its principal destinations and European Union markets also serving as important export outlets.
