## Description

Luxir is an open-source search engine for teams that need full-text, vector, and faceted search alongside analytics in a single request. Created by Yonik Seeley, original author of Apache Solr, it is designed to make efficient use of CPU cores and memory through native code, asynchronous networking, memory-mapped storage, and SIMD-optimized search operations. Developers can get started with a standalone server, plain HTTP and JSON, and command-line tools such as curl, without first defining a schema or installing a client. Luxir supports BM25 relevance, phrase, fuzzy and prefix matching, filters, sorting, exact counts, nested and range facets, date histograms, geo queries, and hybrid lexical-and-vector ranking. It also provides streaming document import and export, plus JSON and gRPC APIs. The software is pre-1.0 and currently runs as a single-node engine; built-in authentication, TLS, replication, distributed query execution, and packaged clients are not included. Luxir is released under the Apache License 2.0, with documentation, downloads, and community resources available through its website.
