## Description

Lymm Historic Transport Day is a volunteer-run event in Cheshire that celebrates transport heritage and brings together visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Recognised as one of the area’s best-loved events, it offers a family day out featuring a wide variety of historic and classic displays. Visitors can see classic cars, military vehicles, vintage bicycles, steam traction engines, historic working boats and model railways. The programme also includes live music, remote-controlled cars and Lego activities, creating attractions beyond the vehicle exhibits.

Dozens of stalls offer food, clothing, toys and local produce, adding opportunities to browse and enjoy refreshments throughout the day. Unlike many classic car shows, the event is organised entirely by volunteers, and all profits go to charity. The 2026 event raised £10,000 for charitable causes, and planning is under way for the 2027 event. Lymm Historic Transport Day combines transport history, community participation and family-friendly entertainment while supporting charitable beneficiaries through its fundraising.
