## Description

The Australasian Lymphology Association (ALA) is a professional association dedicated to advancing lymphology across Australasia. Its purpose is to improve the management of people living with, or at risk of developing, lymphoedema and other forms of oedema, while strengthening communication among health professionals, educators, government and relevant organisations. The ALA supports education, research and high standards of care through practitioner accreditation, a registry of accredited lymphoedema practitioners, professional development and industry partnerships.

For members and the wider community, the Association provides training events, webinars, conferences, online learning, research updates and publications, including Lymph Exchange. Its website offers a practitioner directory, information about lymphoedema and its management, patient resources, assessment forms, position statements and guidance on cellulitis. The ALA also publishes standards and resources for health professionals, and shares information about compression garment schemes and support options. Its recently published position paper outlines evidence-informed principles for assessing, treating and preventing cellulitis in people with chronic oedema.
