## Description

M-NEX is an international research initiative focused on innovative urban design and the integrated management of food, energy, and water (FEW) resources. Spearheaded by Professor Wanglin Yan from Keio University, this project collaborates with seven partners across six countries, addressing the pressing vulnerabilities faced by urban communities amid climate change. M-NEX recognizes urban agriculture as a crucial element of the FEW nexus, driving the need for coordinated management to promote sustainability and resilience.

Through engaging living labs in cities like Tokyo, Amsterdam, and Detroit, M-NEX develops practical design solutions tailored to local needs. These workshops foster stakeholder participation, ensuring that the lessons learned are readily shared on the open M-NEX platform. This platform serves as a decision support tool for local governments, integrating nexus thinking into policy and practice. M-NEX not only aims to enhance urban food security but also empowers communities to co-create sustainable futures, making it a vital player in global urban resilience and innovation.
