## Description

The MacAskill Sept Society is an organization for descendants of Asketil and people connected to the MacAskill name and its variant spellings. It shares information about the sept’s history and heritage, including its association with the MacLeods of Harris and Dunvegan, its roots in Scotland, and the migration of MacAskill families to North America and other parts of the world. The society also highlights the history of the MacAskill tartan, designed in 1951 to reflect allegiance to Clan MacLeod.

Members and those interested in the family’s history can connect through the society’s annual gatherings, newsletter, gallery, and collection of related links. The website introduces the society’s officers and provides information for people who wish to get involved or join. It also offers MacAskill tartan for purchase, listed at $42.45 per yard plus shipping. Through its historical resources and community activities, the society helps people explore MacAskill heritage and stay connected with fellow descendants.
