Our story dates back to 1938 when the Mackay brothers transformed a carrot processing facility in Carnoustie, Eastern Scotland into a jam-making haven. They sourced the finest berries from the surrounding fields and sold their delectable creations locally.

In 1970, the brothers sold their brand to United Biscuits, who made the factory the proud producer of the famous Jam Ring biscuit. In 1995, Paul Grant, an expert with years of experience in the industry, saw the immense potential in local produce and the rich heritage of Dundee Marmalade. He seized the opportunity to establish Mackays as a Scottish Marmalade and Jam brand.

Since then, Mackays has expanded its reach, launching its products in various markets, including Canada and Tesco's in Scotland. Mackays prides itself on its commitment to tradition, crafting all products in small batches using authentic methods and copper pans.
