## Description

MADCO100 is a gravel cycling event organized under the Rock Road Racing name, offering riders a challenging 100-mile route through Madison County, Iowa. Held on the first Saturday of May, the course follows gravel and dirt back roads southwest of Des Moines. Its character is described as similar to CIRREM, with an additional 40 miles, and riders can expect sustained hills, winding roads, scenic landscapes and covered bridges. The event is designed to test participants’ limits, with an after-party to follow the ride. A checkpoint is planned at the Cumming Tap, a longtime friend of the organizers. The website provides event registration information, course updates and race results, including results from the 2019 edition. It also invites visitors to subscribe for race updates and contact the organizers by email. The 2020 race was cancelled due to COVID-19. MADCO100 brings together endurance cycling, rural Iowa scenery and a gravel-road challenge for riders seeking a demanding spring event.
