Madison Public Library, in partnership with Public Health of Madison & Dane County, is hosting an engaging and informative Period Party at Meadowridge Library. This event, taking place on September 2nd from 2-4PM, aims to educate kids, teens, and families about menstruation. Public Health will debunk common myths surrounding menstruation through a short presentation while Madison Public Library will provide delicious period craving foods like pizza and chocolate.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to create their own go bags stocked with tampons, pads, and liners. Additionally, local doula and artist Ashley Hartman Annis will distribute free copies of her Awesome Ovaries zine. The party will feature a book display and an anonymous question box.

Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District will also be present to educate attendees on the proper disposal of period products. Don't miss out on this educational and empowering event; registration is requested and all ages are welcome to attend
