## Description

Maditas Sommer is the first fully vegan café and bistro on the island of Hiddensee, located in Vitte. Inspired by the light-hearted spirit of Astrid Lindgren’s Madita, it aims to bring a little feeling of summer to every season. The café serves freshly prepared, entirely plant-based food, from rolls and small treats for a second breakfast to light lunches, cakes and cookies. Guests can also pick up provisions for a walk to the lighthouse or a relaxed day at the beach.

Drinks include espresso-based coffee made with beans from Carles, an organic roastery in Kaarst, as well as wines and refreshing alternatives to conventional soft drinks. The café makes its own fresh oat milk on site and also offers almond and soy milk from selected producers. Maditas Sommer welcomes visitors seeking vegan food, coffee and a relaxed break during their time on the island.
