## Description

Magma Space is a leading brand in the field of satellite subsystems, specializing in ultra-low-jitter technology. They have developed groundbreaking products such as magnetically levitated reaction wheels and energy storage flywheels. These innovative systems address the issue of jitter, which refers to mechanical micro-vibrations that can negatively impact performance and reliability in precision applications like optical communication and remote imaging. Unlike traditional systems that rely on ball-bearing friction and suffer from imperfections, Magma Space's technology utilizes magnetic bearings to levitate the flywheel, eliminating contact points and significantly reducing micro-vibration disruptions. This results in improved efficiencies at high speeds and enhances overall performance. What sets Magma Space apart is their novel and proprietary semi-active design, which simplifies the control algorithm without compromising power efficiency and reliability. Their first prototype, launched in October '22, achieved an impressive 95% jitter reduction compared to a conventional ball-bearing reaction wheel. With a commitment to innovation and cutting-edge technology, Magma Space is revolutionizing the satellite subsystem industry and offering solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible in precision applications.
