## Description

The Magnetics Society (MagSoc), formerly the UK Magnetics Society, is an international professional community that connects people working in magnetics research and applications. With a history of almost 40 years, it brings together members from industry, government and academia, and supports magnetics professionals across countries and fields. Its activities foster collaboration and have helped connections lead to new companies, projects, products and services, as well as career development.

MagSoc offers events and seminars featuring presentations and networking opportunities, alongside a MagNews publication, past papers and a resource directory. It also provides a student bursary and membership options, with additional benefits for members. Non-members are welcome to use its services. The Society shares information on issues affecting the sector, including rare-earth permanent magnet supply challenges, and promotes coordinated efforts to build evidence and encourage action. Organisations can also advertise through MagSoc. Through its events and resources, the Society aims to support knowledge exchange and collaboration among people working with magnetics.
