## Description

Nemzeti Névtér, or National Name Space, is a Hungarian online reference and search platform for exploring names and related records across several dedicated collections. Users can select a namespace and search for geographic names, personal names, corporate or organizational names, and memorial sites. The memorial section brings together records covering national and historic memorial sites, Hungarian memorial points, the National Cemetery, protected graves, burial places, Hungarian memorial sites beyond the country’s borders, and anniversary memorials.

The site also highlights notable Hungarian figures and connects them with places, presenting people such as Ferenc Molnár, Sándor Petőfi, Ferenc Kölcsey, Imre Madách, and Mihály Csokonai Vitéz alongside their occupations and associated locations. Visitors can access the service through login or registration, and the site includes a form-filling option. Its searchable collections and featured entries make it a useful starting point for finding information about Hungarian people, places, organizations, and commemorative sites. The website also provides privacy information and explains its use of cookies.
