## Description

Mahjong Danmark is a Danish association that introduces people to mahjong and brings players together through regular club activities, tournaments, and competitions. The association plays two rule sets: Mahjong Competition Rules (MCR) and Japanese Riichi, following European Mahjong Association rules for both. Its website offers explanations of mahjong, rules, and learning resources, as well as ratings, game statistics, division information, and details of Danish, European, and world events.

Newcomers are welcome, and the club teaches beginners the rules and answers questions about membership. The first two visits are free. Players can join weekly Thursday evenings in Copenhagen, at the association’s venue in Østerbro. Mahjong Danmark presents the game as a challenging form of strategic play involving concentration, memory, and logical thinking, as well as an opportunity to meet people and make friends. The association also shares news, seminars, and other activities, helping members discover the game and take part at different levels, from learning the basics to playing in organized competitions.
