## Description

Maia is a groundbreaking chess engine designed to emulate human-like play through advanced neural network techniques. By harnessing the vast wealth of online chess data, Maia is trained on millions of human games to predict moves tailored to specific Elo ratings, ranging from 1100 to 1900. Unlike traditional engines, Maia prioritizes playing the human move rather than the optimal one, achieving over 50% accuracy in matching online game moves.

The engine features nine versions, each focused on different skill levels, allowing it to reflect the common mistakes and strategies characteristic of players at those ratings. Maia's unique approach enables it to predict not only standard moves but also the blunders frequently made by players, offering insights that enhance learning.

Accessible on platforms like Lichess, Maia is more than just a chess opponent; it serves as a valuable educational tool that anyone can engage with. With future developments aimed at personalizing the experience for individual players, Maia is set to redefine human-AI interaction in chess gameplay.
