## Description

Maison De Challie is a Sydney couture atelier established more than two decades ago in the Strand Arcade. Led by creative director and couturier Hajar Gala, the house creates elegant, timeless garments rooted in classical style and the French Method of Haute Couture. Its work is distinguished by meticulous craftsmanship, expert cut and tailoring, and thoughtful use of fabrics such as silk, French lace and sheer organza, alongside expressive draping, colour and texture.

The atelier offers a house collection and runway designs, as well as individually created custom gowns. Clients are involved throughout the couture process, from the initial sketch and fabric choices to fittings and finishing details, with follow-up fittings to achieve a flattering fit. Maison De Challie also provides traditional couture dressmaking and alterations, including wedding-dress fitting and adjustments, and creates garments for weddings, formal occasions, corporate events and red-carpet appearances. Each piece is made with attention to detail and tailored to the wearer.
