## Description

Maison Périnatale Mwana Mboka is an association supporting women experiencing financial and social hardship during pregnancy and motherhood in France and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Its work focuses on equitable access to care, attentive guidance, and support for mothers and their families. In France, the association helps women, including those without regular immigration status, navigate healthcare services and access pregnancy and post-partum care. It also provides psychological and practical support, recognizing the barriers that limited resources and social isolation can create.

Mwana Mboka’s services extend beyond childbirth to include mother-child bonding, contraception, menstrual health, gynaecological concerns, and information about access to abortion. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the association aims to establish perinatal centres and train professionals, particularly midwives, to strengthen local support for expectant and new mothers. Its broader ambition is to help reduce maternal mortality and foster women’s autonomy. Based in Grigny, the association operates in the Île-de-France region and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and invites donations to support its programmes, training, and equipment needs.
