## Description

Maker Express is a mobile makerspace initiative created by Cairo Hackerspace and Eshbook to bring maker and coworking communities to cities and underserved creative hubs across Egypt. Its centerpiece is a microbus equipped with educational tools and technology, including 3D printers, laser cutters, small robots, craft supplies, and a small library. Through an eight-week road tour planned to reach more than 20 cities, the project connects with makerspaces, coworking venues, startups, universities, schools, emerging organizations, and individual creators.

Maker Express offers traveling talks, practical workshops, and training designed to encourage collaboration, technical skills, and hands-on experimentation. Pop-up makerspace sessions help participants learn to use fabrication tools and share knowledge and resources. Workshops are tailored to local needs and welcome learners of different ages and backgrounds, including young people and children. Topics include an Internet of Plants workshop, where participants explore basic electronics, programming, sensors, and dashboards to monitor a garden online.
