## Description

Mala’a, the Oman Credit and Financial Information Centre, is Oman’s national credit bureau and financial information databank. It gathers, safeguards, and provides credit and financial information to help individuals, businesses, lenders, and institutions make informed decisions and support responsible lending and risk management.

Its services include credit reports for individuals and corporate entities, offering a view of credit history and financial records. Individuals can also access the Mala’a Credit Score, a three-digit rating from 300 to 900 based on credit activity and financial behavior. The Mala’ati mobile app lets users monitor their report, view their score, and manage their financial profile, while the Mala’ati Portal gives corporates access to reports and scores.

For member institutions, Mala’a offers Murshid, a customized credit-report tool for risk assessment, and Tanbeeh, a centralized cautionary-list service recording qualifying returned or dishonored financial instruments. Huwiya provides secure digital identity verification for individuals and businesses. Mala’a also offers a credit score estimator, customer guidance, and an interactive call center for obtaining credit reports by phone.
