## Description

The International Society for Maladaptive Daydreaming (ISMD) is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals affected by maladaptive daydreaming (MD). With a focus on public and professional education, ISMD raises awareness, engages communities, and advocates for those experiencing this condition. The organization fosters innovative therapies and supports pioneering research through collaboration with mental health professionals.

ISMD provides a wealth of resources, including informative articles on symptoms, coping strategies, and research insights into maladaptive daydreaming. Their initiatives are anchored in core values such as collaboration, diversity, and respect, striving to create an inclusive environment for both members and volunteers. Furthermore, ISMD aims to enhance understanding of MD within the scientific community, advocate for its formal recognition in psychiatric diagnostics, and promote accessible resources to support affected individuals. With a commitment to service and advocacy, ISMD endeavors to bridge the gap between researchers, clinicians, and those who experience maladaptive daydreaming, ensuring that their voices are heard and valued.
