Established as a 501(c)(3) organization, it works primarily on Oahu’s North Shore, where volunteers known as Honu Guardians provide daily beach outreach. The organization also offers education and outreach in schools and shares information about honu, conservation, and its work through resources such as its newsletter and gallery. Visitors can learn about sea turtles through its Honu experiences and educational materials, while supporters can contribute through donations, turtle adoptions, sponsorships, and merchandise. Mālama i nā Honu also shares basking data and collaborates with conservation partners, including NOAA Fisheries, which has supported its public outreach. With more than 95 active volunteers, the organization combines community education and on-the-ground stewardship to promote the continued protection of Hawaii’s sea turtles. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/malamainahonu) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/malamainahonu) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id-YMvQjka/w/300/h/300/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791504505679) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/id-YMvQjka/w/720/h/720/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791504505814) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Chetwode Blue | #8ca2db | accent | | Korma | #87370f | dark | | Malibu | #8ed1fc | light | ## Fonts - Shadows Into Light Two — asset _(google)_ - Helvetica Neue — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
