## Description

Malanda Bull Ride is an annual rodeo event held at the Malanda Showgrounds in Queensland, bringing together riders, residents and visitors for an evening of bull riding, sportsmanship and entertainment. The 2026 event is scheduled for Saturday, 10 October, with gates opening at 2pm and the first ride at 3pm. The program features competitive bull riding and the invitation-only Butchers vs Bullocks showcase, alongside food vendors, market stalls, a bar and live music. Visitors can book tickets, view event information and access rider nominations through the event’s website; nominations for 2026 open on 13 September. The event also offers sponsorship opportunities, giving local businesses ways to promote their brands to the crowd. Run by volunteers, Malanda Bull Ride has grown from an audience of about 800 to more than 3,500 and attracts over 100 riders. It supports community spirit, fundraising and local visibility, while bringing visitors to Malanda and the wider Tablelands region.
